Healing in the Country Side with a Baby Dragon - CHAPTER 25 (That's Right)

The first emotion that Han Ga-ram felt when she arrived was clear confusion. She had heard from her secretary’s office that this was just a small rural town, but she don't expected it to be 'this' secluded. Even while driving down here with her navigation system turned on, she wonder if people actually lived in these depths. Eventually, her drive brought her right to Jin-sol orange house. To put it nicely, Jin-sol green gate was full of rustic charm; to put it bluntly, it looked a bit tacky. Jin-sol didn't knew it could make visitors nervous. In truth, Han Ga-ram had rushed down here on pure impulse, unable to control her racing emotions. ‘What on earth are you thinking?’ she had asked herself. Out of nowhere, a massive corporate entity comes looking to secure their crops, offering to have the Hanseong Guild take full charge of distribution instead. ‘If we force this, we’re no better than blackmailers.’ Han Ga-ram worried that she would come across as a slick individual...

Healing in the Country Side with a Baby Dragon - CHAPTER 24 (Came Here on Their Own Feet)

Hanseong Guild Executive Office Recently, Executive Director Han Ga-ram had been in an absolutely foul mood. ‘When on earth is that site going to be restored!’ Her one and only hobby had been abruptly cut off. For Ga-ram, looking at the photos of Seol-ah posted on the blog and website of 'Happiness Growing Farm' was her ultimate form of daily healing. With the site down, the concentration of cuteness in her bloodstream had dropped to dangerously low levels. While Ga-ram was still glaring intensely at the completely unresponsive webpage, her secretary knocked and stepped into the office, freezing instantly at the doorway. The secretary was utterly startled; who on earth could have triggered this much anger in Executive Director Han Ga-ram, a woman who rarely showed a sliver of emotion? Fortunately, she had brought some news that would finally cheer the director up. "Director, I have successfully located the 'Happiness Growing Farm'." Ga-ram stood up from her se...

Healing in the Country Side with a Baby Dragon - CHAPTER 23 (Meat on a Hard Day)

The motorized tiller chugged slowly along the winding country road. To Chief Ham Bong-seok, who had traveled this path for decades, the bumpy terrain was practically second nature. Riding behind him on the trailer of the cultivator was Hyung-seok, Grandma Kim’s grandson. When Chief Ham had stopped by their house earlier, he was already dressed and waiting for him, so he decided to bring him along.  Originally, Chief Ham had only planned to take the Sae-chaem, but for some reason, Hyung-seok insisted on tagging-along. He used to absolutely despise interacting with people, but it seemed his state of mind was loosening up a bit. “I’ve actually been starting to feel a lot better these days.” Hyung-seok said softly. It wasn’t just his mood; his physical body was genuinely beginning to recover.  Not long ago, the nerves in his twisted legs had slowly started firing again, and recently, he’d even begun feeling occasional flashes of pain. If an outsider heard that, they might wonder w...

Healing in the Country Side with a Baby Dragon - CHAPTER 22 (Debut)

Hanseong Guild Rookie Entrance Examination Center Inside the testing center, the rookies were taking a short break after barely surviving a grueling, heavy solo-combat stage. “Alright, everyone, let’s all take our antidotes and get moving before the next fight.” the supervising manager announced, stepping into the room holding a crate. The hunters' faces immediately contorted in disgust at the mere mention of the word 'antidote'. It was common practice to drink detox potions brewed by alchemists, but because those were crafted with a strict focus on utility, the taste was consistently horrific. Some tasted like slimy seaweed; others tasted like industrial soap dissolved in water. And those were the tolerable ones. A few variants boasted fragrances and odors so foul they were practically indescribable. It often felt like drinking literal poison just to force out a different poison, so it was no wonder the rookies looked miserable. But recently, a shift had occurred. A few hu...

Healing in the Country Side with a Baby Dragon - CHAPTER 21 (Introducing the Fan)

On the way to So-yoon’s house, I couldn’t help but chuckle. “Hahaha, sorry, Oh-sik. I didn’t realize it would affect you that way.” It was incredibly hard to hold back the laughter bubbling up inside me. Honestly, I had just been curious. What would a knight from a fantasy world say when he saw a modern car? This felt like the perfect opportunity to find out. When Oh-sik first spotted the truck and stared at it with wide, curious eyes, my playful side kicked in. “Oh, that’s a truck.” I said, delivering my lines perfectly. I expected a typical reaction like, “What on earth is this?” or “Wow, this is amazing!” However... “It’s a demon!” Oh-sik’s reaction went far beyond my wildest expectations. I burst out laughing as the startled knight rushed inside the gate, grabbed a pickaxe, and took a defensive stance right in front of the vehicle. “Get back, my lord!” I froze in horror as he swung the pickaxe toward the truck with a fiercely determined look.  'No, not my number one asset!'...
